The helpful app for documenting your pain
MyPain, the flexible assistant for documenting your pain, was developed by Absolute Development AG with the kind support of Pfizer AG. With MyPain you can immediately and easily start documenting the course of your pain.
Why does it make sense to keep a pain diary?
The pain diary is an important accompaniment to treatment for anyone affected by pain and a great help to doctors. On the one hand, the patient learns about his/her pain by keeping a pain diary while, on the other hand, the pain documentation is a valuable aid in discussions with doctors. It enables monitoring the effects of pain on everyday life and the patient’s accompanying treatments. Pain no longer dominates the daily routine. Instead, the patient regains the initiative to actively participate in life.
How does the MyPain App work?
MyPain is an app that is available for Apple and Android smartphones. It helps patients document their pain. By keeping a pain diary, the effects of pain on everyday life and the accompanying therapeutic measures can be monitored, which can increase the chances of successful treatment. MyPain helps you with the daily documentation of your pain, allowing you to enter the pain intensity in the app three times a day at specific times. In addition, you can record the location and type of pain, as well as your intake of medication. Once a day, you can also document the effects of the pain on your everyday life.
A notable feature of the app is its ease of use. With just one click, you can call up a graph showing the course of your pain and export it if you wish. This documentation can help you during pain discussions with your doctor.
MyPain can immediately be downloaded free of charge from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. It is available in German, English and French.
